In his autobiography Michael Külken wrote about his adventures, including
encounters with pirates, storms, barter in Africa, sailing with emigrants to
America and many interesting and amusing events of more than 50 voyages. The
living conditions of a seaman in the 19th century are detailed with humor.
The book is entitled Und löschten unsere Passagiere - And We Unloaded Our
Passengers.
The author´s great-great-grandson Michael Külken has published the
autobiography with "Verlag H. M. Hauschild" in Bremen.
